When I say that women are submissive, I don’t mean that in the limited scope of a relationship between two people. The world is much more than relationships between two people.
The idea is that she's not just submitting to her man, because that's not a submissive personality. She's submissive to everyone, which can include other men, which can go against her man’s interests.
Example: I saw on reddit a guy frustrated that his girlfriend, who was otherwise really great, had sex with others when she entered an apartment where there was some kind of orgy, because she felt pressure to join in (to please people). She told him and was honest, yet he was heartbroken, because he didn’t expect his submissive girlfriend to submit to others.
The point is that it's femininity. Femininity produces social submissiveness, because a beautiful woman has more to gain from cooperation and looking after herself, than potentially resisting others.
If she needed defending to maintain her social status, or, for example, her property, others (men) would defend it as needed, but a man likes a submissive woman because she is a feminine woman who puts her health first. If a woman's authority was valid, she wouldn't need to take a physical role.
A submissive woman is not more likely to get trapped in an abusive relationship, because for all that she'll please her toxic or controlling boyfriend, she'll also please other men who want to take her away from it.
A woman who is loyal to her toxic partner would resist other men and generally the scrutiny of others.
A submissive woman, however, would go with the flow and easily follow others' lead out of a bad relationship.
It goes both ways.
Here's what I mean by women being submissive. It's not just about people. Well, it is about people, but you'll see what I mean. It's deeply a mode of interacting with the world.
I watched a documentary (on Curiosity Stream) about human development from baby to adult. In it, there was this experiment where, one at a time, they put like five year olds in a room behind a barrier. The barrier was kind of flexible. To get to the door and exit the room, you have to get past the barrier.
They were left in the room to see how they would act. Boys were more likely to try to push past the barrier, while girls were more likely to call for help.
Basically, the girls submitted to the barrier.
Males are more likely to resist their situation. So, something that could make women seem unloyal in a relationship is them going along with what other people want, relative to men, while something that could make men seem unloyal in a relationship is them resisting already being in a relationship to make a new relationship.
So, basically, the idea is that men are the ones that make things in the social world, while women are the ones that accept things.
And if you think about it, politically, women haven't actually made anything new in any meaningful sense. Men invented democracy. Women being allowed to do politics didn't revolutionise everything by bringing a woman's perspective. Men are still the innovators.
